Depends on how much you want to spend and how far you want to travel.
I would imagine most would be open for membership.

    Limerick County
    750 ish I think.
On its way back quite well. Have only played first 12 but better than I thought it would be

    Ballykisteen
Not sure of cost (Ballyk could inform)
Lovely course and holds up to weather very well

    Rathbane
    550 ish I think
Basic enough but decent council run course

    Shannon
    Joining fee still in place
    Usually in top condition.

There are others if you want to give some parameters ? .....

apart from all the work they have been doing on the course

I dont think Ballyneety ( limerick county ) is that much, but could be wrong, But I think they are going to do quite well..
Lots may desert rathbane for it.. Rathbane is like a jungle for tee times I hear.

Castletroy - is 4 K I believe , but a fab course, not sure on Limerick GC, you could always join Roscrea on distance membership for 295 euro, 40 minutes up the motorway...and a good little course.

All the changes in Newcastlewest have worked a treat in fairness, will be all the better for them next year. You could get it for 700 if you join with someone else.

def imagine ballyneety will get a lot of new members from rathbane next year
good selection of courses not too far from limerick depending on what you have to spend

Nenagh is a good value option too. Dry all year round, only ever really frost that closes it. Membership price similar to Newcastlewest I think. Only half hour from limerick

Ya , Nenagh is good..and it is the driest course in the mid west, however I find it a fierce drag on the legs on the back nine,
The greens are good , tough greens, but good.

Shannon's entrance fee is €2000 but that is payable over 10 years. The sub is €849. €200 a year of the joining fee on top of that so €1049.

thanks guys, went out to Ballyneety yesterday and its €700 for the year, but pay it direct debit of 5 month if i wanted to join.Place is looking well. Forgot about the driving range out there. Hand spot. the day of paying an entrance fee is gone for my budget. i have between 600 - 800 to spend.
