Moving from North to South

Hi guys, am in the process of making the move from Belfast to reside in Co. Kildare (my mothers birthplace)

I have a long term mental health issue for the last 8 years, depression and more recently diagnosed bi-polar episodes.

I am going to move in with a family friend, a retired man who has some experience dealing with my particular situation re medication management etc.

Currently I am in receipt of Disability Living Allowance.

What do I need to do to get registered with benefits in the South?

What benefit is the equivalent of the DLA?

How likely am I to qualify for it saying as I have never lived/contributed tax or whatever to the Irish Gov?

Anything else I need to be aware of?

    Thank you.
