    Hi,

Thinking of picking up a new monitor. Using a 19" crt at the moment.
Need it for general browsing, movies and probably more importantly gaming. Games like flight sims, arma 3, payday 2.

Doesn't seem to give the response time. Also so it says Vga, dvi and hdmi connections but further down in monitor details it says connection wise d-sub (VGA ?) and hdmi. Nothing about dvi which is what I have. Unless i can get a dvi to hdmi adapter.

    Any advice much appreciated !

edit: seems to be 5ms response time. Is this ok for gaming ?

Id probably go for this one instead, purely because its recomended on here quite a bit and I have the prvious iteration of it and its great, stand is a little wobbly but it doesn bother me.

    5ms is fine for gaming

    Thanks Eoin,

Ended up picking up the one i asked about. Delighted with it. Like the one you mentioned the stand is a bit wobbly and flimsy and theres a lack of tilt but otherwise for the price i'm very happy.

Tried a few games and its grand. Thanks for the recommendation anyway.

No worries, im sure there probably fairly close performance wise. Just recomended that one as i have previous version amd was happy with it.

Theres a thread here somewhere about settings on LG monitors, you should check it out. Might be able to improve the picture even more.

Big improvement over the old monitor id say:)
