I was hoping someone here would have an idea what might be wrong with my TV. I switched it on yesterday morning and the image was highly distorted but after about an hour it had settled down to a watchable level.

I carried out a factory reset, which did nothing. I then did a firmware reinstall but this didn't appear to help as when I switched it on again this morning was appearing like the attached images. Any idea what could be causing this and if it is cost effective to have it repaired?

    It is a 2009 Philips 37PFL8404H/12

    Thanks
