Someone tries to chomp off your bottom lip ? What would you do ?

Looks like the guy was pushing her around the place in the beginning and eventually yer one clamps onto his bottom lip, biting it off and spitting it out on the floor.

She was arrested for assault and the guy had to have reconstructive surgery (to re-attach it)

The guy was obviously a knob, but what would you do in this case ?

Seen some of the video of this, she was getting some nice punches on his head and he was just walking away from her. He wasn't being aaggressive from what I seen and handled it well. I would try not hit a girl, I'd rather try grab her and control her to stop her swinging at me before ever hitting her, but

Vicious. Two thumbs in the eyes straight away and push as hard as you can, even then it's nigh impossible to get someone off you when they clamp their jaws. While working the doors one night a young colleague of mine was bitten in the arm and your man managed to get a fairly big chunk out of his forearm. The blood was literally everywhere and they couldn't even stitch the wound up. I think they had to plug it in the hospital and he had a dressing on for weeks.

He never went back on the doors as far as I'm aware.

At the beginning it looked like he was trying to prevent her from getting stuck into his mate. There's no way you can come to a firm conclusion about what happened from that video. In that segment of the tape, she was the first one who initiated violence and then bit him in the face in an act of pretty extreme violence.

Why? Umm the serious disfiguring assault perhaps?

Put it to you this way- two scenarios
1) self defence - would this be considered a proportionate response? I'd suggest not in my opinion
Or
2) not self defence- then it becomes a simple case of gbh.

Either way there's an issue

Btw, there's no way in hell at the point she takes a chunk out of his lip that it can be called self defence. At that point he's been trying to get away from the little thugs punches! (It also doesn't seem a glass is actually involved at any point from the reports I've seen so far)

Did you actually read my previous response to you or are you just going to sit there going "it was the bad mans fault" all day?

I'll make it easy and summarise

1. Not easy to be sure from the angle but you're the first person who's mentioned a glass. Generally people are saying he tried to put something in her mouth

2. Regardless that possible threat was long gone at the point of the assault.

3. She'd already repeatedly punched the victim, to which he'd kept his calm and not retaliated

Much as you might like to paint this as self defence it wasn't, it was a cowardly act of thuggery by a drunk scumbag
