Dublin regs

    hi im just wondering if anybody could tell me how high original irish dublin regs went in 1999?

    or even how to identify if a car was imported by its registration plate alone?

    the reg in question is 99D33***

    unlikely to be an import, that's low. dublin reg's went to 110,000 the following year.

    That would be early enough in the year, I had 99D40*** and that was registered in May, I think.

    Think imports started round 81 or 82k that year, a mate had an UK import Accord that was 82***.

    I forgot, I had a 99 Priimera that was 786** as well :cool: , was an Irish car, think it was a late October registration.

    I agree. I remember the guards got a load of Mondeos at the end of 1999 and they were all 99-D-80XXX.

    Incidentally, that is more cars than have been registered in the whole country so far this year.
