Which Tesco store delivers to Spencer Dock?

    Hi all,

We know it for a fact that Tesco.ie delivers groceries to the Spencer Dock apartment complex (seen the delivery guys), but for some odd reason our House is not in their system. One customer service rep suggested we ask other residents which store they get deliveries from or find it out directly from the driver, but we don't personally know such people, and we can't predict the next time we run into a delivery guy.

Does anyone here live in SD and order from tesco.ie? Which store are you getting your delivery from?

    Thanks a mill!

This may seem like a silly thing, but double check the address that you are giving. It is possible that Tesco have you in their system, but under a different listing. I used to live in the Custom House Harbour Apts, just up the road from you in Spencer Dock. There were 3 different ways of writing my address there. The electoral register, the utility companies (ESB, UPC etc etc) and Dublin City Council all had the apartment listed in 3 different ways. I'm told it happens a lot in that part of the world. That could be it. You may need to get the Tesco people to play around with apt listings in Dublin 1 for a bit, before they find your development.

That is something we've already tried, but decided to try again. The name of the house is our first line of address; just putting "Spencer Dock" or "Spencer Dock apartments" doesn't work. Inputting the name of our house provides a drop-down menu that lets us pick our apartment number, so we are in the system. However, this is what we found:

Addresses marked ** are business addresses, and will not work in all stores. If an address is not listed above, it is because we are unable to deliver to it.

Our address is indeed listed and marked with **. There is definitely no business going on at this address. Can anything be done about it? Is anyone familiar with Tesco policies on determining which address is considered residential?

I'd say you need to give them a ring and speak to real person. If the listing is messed up on their website, its going to take a real person to fix it, before the website has the correct information.

We tried a few times. The customer service agents see the same information, and being on the phone with them was a waste of time and credit. They were unable to make any changes to the system.

Just for fun tried searching for other addresses within the Spencer Dock apartment complex and found that other Houses, such as Kirkpatrick, are not marked as "business". Nice work, Tesco.
