Primary schools are inundated with cvs from fully qualified and experienced primary teachers. The DES and INTO both demand that only qualified primary teachers teach in primary school, even retired teachers are frowned on. You MIGHT get an odd day here and there but certainly only after the school have exhausted other options. You certainly won't get anything remotely long term.

Thanks. The odd day would be great...even for the experience. Just wanted to see what was actually like on the ground in terms of getting that odd day. I know some teachers said that if can sometimes be hard to get someone at last minute.
