I've a 01 galaxy that has started vibrating a lot, its very noticable around 40-55k/hr but when we go above the 55 mark it stops (or we just don't notice it anymore)
We only bought the car in October so hoping its nothing too serious

sounds like you need to get the wheels balanced, but check your tyre pressures first.did you knock any of the wheels lately or hit a bad pothole?

Yeah start with the wheels. If one is misaligned or not on properly you'll get vibrations.
Unbalanced tyres usually show at higher speeds but anything is possible.
Is there a smell? Sticking brake pads can cause vibrations too.
A tyre place or local mech should be able to diagnose pretty easy once it's up on a lift.

If i was you in order to cancel out things in the cheapest and most sure way.

Go to a tyre place and ask to get your 4 wheels rebalanced €30 quid or so and while they are balancing them ask them to check for any buckles in the wheels. If there is a severe buckle then you will need to get it straightened (if not just put the semi banana on the rear). If you won't be getting any new tyres for abit and/or have uneven tyre wear getting tracking/alignment checked might be worth the money.

Obviously make sure you have no bulges on said tyres first and tyre pressure per axle is even.
