How much fondant for cake?

    Cake is 11 inches long, 7 1/2 inches wide and 5 inches high.
    How many grams of fondant would I need to cover it totally?

    I agree with phormium - that's a good estimate.
    Here's a good guide for fondant required for different shapes and sizes.

    The trouble with fondant is you need to be able to roll out a piece bigger than what you need to ensure you can cover it properly so you will probably have some left out of the 1.5kg but it's impossible to roll out an exact size piece.

    All depends too on how thick you roll it.
