Third Party PS3 Controllers

It looks like Santa will be brining me a PS3 but it will only have one controller. I will mostly be doing single player gaming but there will be the odd game that I might need a second controller. I don't want to pay full price for an official controller that will mostly be sitting idle but I don't want to buy a crap generic one either.
Can anyone recommend a decent third party controller that doesn't cost a fortune?

    What is your budget?

It's not really a budget thing, if someone says all the third party ones are rubbish and will stop working in a couple of months, I'll suck it up and get the official one but if someone has used the €20 ones in Argos or brand X on ebay for a tenner and they are decent enough, I'll go for those.

With the PS4 released many would have sold their consoles to GS and the likes. I'd say you could pick up a second hand official one at a decent price there now

If it was me i'd import a controller as they can be cheaper elsewhere. I also would never consider an unofficial one as any I have ahad in the past have been absolute rubbish.

Thanks all for your input. I reckon I will look for a second hand official controller and failing that, Gamestop have an offer of a controller and 90 days of PS+ for €60 that I might go for.

Try videogamesplus.ca they have the Dual Shock 3 for €28, shipping is about €5. Takes about 9-10 days to deliver.
