Hi, I became unemployed 8 weeks ago, I am receiving no Social welfare, I sent the necessary form to claim taxback. When I checked online it displays on my request correspondence received displays done. However it does not display anything further such as a tax balancing certificate or any other details, how will I know if I am entitled to any refund and if I am how much etc. Any advice appreciated

You won't receive a balancing statement until the tax year is finished.

Should I receive any statement/letter to confirm if I will/or not receive the refund requested and any details of same?

Yes you should receive a P21 balancing statement, but not until January.

Edit: If you contact Revenue by phone with your details, they should be able to let you know what will be due to you.

The easiest way is to ring revenue, they have a lo-call number. Have your PPS number and they will give you any info you require. Its the quickest way of dealing with it.

Thank you, will do, just assumed it would provide some information online re.same rather than having to contact by phone, really seems to defeat the purpose of paye.anytime.

Most of it's functionality relates to prior tax years as active tax years have too many variables to do away with manual processing altogether.
You have applied for a refund of tax during a period of unemployment during an active tax year which can only be done offline. The most info you will get online relating to your claim is that it has been processed.
Correspondence will issue to you within five working days to the address in file for you confirming what the outcome of your claim was.
