Ali-Express is a spin off of Alibaba, where you can buy single items. I've bought a few things of suppliers here and they are generally what you would expect.
they currently have a 50% off sale here: http://activities.aliexpress.com/epic-holiday-sale.php

I've never seen anyone get anything from these sales.

But if you look inside you can buy them anyway for not much more.

    ~ €25 for that coat

It's impossible to get anything. That phone for 16 dollars looks a good bargain but can't see how to buy it. I presume will cost a few pound for shipping also.

Depends on who you are buying from. It's like ebay. Look for good reviews and ratings.

You may wait until the clock counts down,it's a good phone.

Shipping is free by post or about €14 by EMS.

    This sale is very suspicious!

Was waiting long for Android phone for $16.5 which was $165 at 90% off, i click buy v quickly as "buy now" button appears & within fraction of a second its all sold out??
Or is it programming to make things appear sold out when timed out?

Has anyone bought anything here on this sale?

Don't waste your time. I have never known anyone to win. On top of that, this year not even competing against most Americans. One year i was doing it at 4AM.

They only have 5 or so items at sale price. Even then i'd be suspicious. But there are probably a couple of hundred thousand people online, some with a lot better setup.. all clicking on the same item at the same second.

Even the less desireable items are impossible to get.

    Anybody get anything yet? :D

Bit suss of it myself, the clock was showing as something like 5 minutes remaining but had listed 3 as having been sold already for one item, clicked refresh and the clock had jumped back to 10 minutes left. I'd be very surprised if anyone ever gets anything off it.

Won't stop me trying though. Just like those damn claw machines... I can totally grab that ball of 50 quid notes, just...one...more...go...
