some guy was showing me a video on some website i never heard of, of some guy getting by some toll booth without paying. i think he got caught and had to pay a few times but was just wondering on the legalities of posting stuff like this, especially to bigger sites like youtube? is there a lot of grey area here like is the guy open to prosecution given that he didn't technically steel anything and would the likes of the account holder if it was on youtube be responsible for having uploaded something like this? Just wondering how it works with that kind of thing?

A video of a crime isn't illegal, only the crime. Of course, the video could probably be used in any conviction.

Sites like Youtube have terms and conditions for what you can and can't post.
