    hi folks, just wondering if anyone has been through this?

    I had my first outbreak in September, was the worst pain in my life:( was in hospital for 4 days with it. my boyfriend and i were both very worried about was wrong with me, when we found out it was herpes it put a huge strain on us:( Both went to a sti clinic and got the all clear and also that the herpes had cleared up. But now I'm scared to have sex in case i get another outbreak, when we do try it's very sore (for me) suppose it doesn't help that I'm tense and anxious.

    hi there, thanks for your reply:)

    In general I seem to be doing ok at the moment, I've had a rough time of it in the last year with the boyfriend, it was causing massive problems for us and we broke up about 6 weeks ago (but there was other reasons for the break up).

    I have flare ups occasionally, had one a few weeks ago that was uncomfortable and sore but in the grand scene of things I only have 3 or 4 a year so could be a lot worse. It's made me a hell lot stronger that's for sure! For the moment I'm focusing on myself but hope to get help for it down the line :)
