Hi I'm looking at buying a double dog run, both runs will be 8x4 or 10x5
These will be side by side and have a roof for protection
Would people recommend 8cm bar type
Or 2inch wire mesh all will be galavinised

Wouldn't be a problem if your putting on a roof! I used the mesh of a security fence. Had a couple dozen lying down the yard that wasn't that busy this few years so took the mesh off 4 of them. made a frame out light box profile steel. And just tacked them on with the mig. Good budget job for the times that's in it. If your going to get it galvanized I'd go for the round bars cause mesh is expensive to get galvanized. I made another run for a neighbor and he wanted inch weld mesh. Cost a fortune to get it galvanized it was explained to me they weigh it soon as it comes out of the dipping tank when the mesh is completely covered over and weighs a tone! They shake after weighing. Don't know how true this is but that's the story I got. But you said you were using 2 inch mesh so probably won't be a problem.

Was thinking of just buying the run complete so it would be just bolt together

Don't forget to leave maybe 50mm from the bottom of the mesh to the concrete as dogs piss over a few years can eat into it

Them green panels that you see around schools and council yards , are 50 a sheet new with posts I have the panels and they work perfect . And are a lot stronger than the security panels u see on building sites for same price

I framed mine out of 3x2 and 6x2 then stapled chain link on to it. It's a pain in the hole but have a 10'x26' run for about €300 max.
