Warning about Dangerous wireing on GEMINOX Oil Boilers

    Hi Guy's
I just thought I'd post a warning concerning GEMINOX / Bosch oil boilers like the TL35 + more.
A lot of them were fitted useing Bentone burners that had a 7 pin connecting plug on both boiler and burner which was fine. But if a different burner was fitted or wires were conected up direct to burner then a lot of them are dangerous as the high limit safety stat was not connected as this should loop back from the burner through high limit stat. if supply cable is 7 wire type.

ie. Live, Neutral, eirth, + black, red, white and grey

    For RIELLO burners :
Neutral and eirth connect as normal, Brown live connects to grey, that in turn loops back through safety stat giving power back down the white that should then be connected to live connection on burner. Black wire was for lockout light to also light up on boiler control pannel, Red was a spare wire.

    For BENTONE:
Or simular burners ( ECO-FLAM ) with Danfoss/ siemens/ landis boxes as in LAO 24/22 or simular type of boxes that are wired direct and do not have 7 pin plug, you can either wire as above on Riello or wire up live, neutral and eirth as normal but remove bridge/link between 3 and 8 and reconnect white and grey to these instead, making high limit stat the bridge/link.

If cable is just live, neutral, eirth and sometimes black for lockout light your ok. But always look and see if white and grey were cut back.

Always check if you come across them as quite a few that I've come across (+ two that went on fire due to no water in boiler,) do not have the white and grey in use, resulting in no safety stat. their just cut or left there but not connected,

It didn't help that a lot of them had the wireing instructions in French:confused: under the top lid of the boiler !!

Also a lot of grey unpainted Benton burners supplied under the Geminox lable came setup for diesel with a preheater and are dangerous if useing kerosene, disconnect heater wires and put in a link/bridge to the connections instead if useing kerosene.

    Hope this was usefull, thanks.
    See ya.
