Would be interested in getting peoples' views on clubs who seem to repeatedly leverage athletes with little or no form on Irish soil running at national / intermediate / senior level. One well known club has real form in this regard. I find it a tough pill to swallow for local coaches who invest so much time in developing local talent. Perhaps a 'minimum time on the books' rule would help?

You aren't giving us much information to go on. This thread is about the Dublin Intermediate CC.

Sure. The first three home for the winning men's team have barely posted a result in Ireland until this season. At least one seems to be UK based, as in all results and PBs are in UK races. Obviously people who move to Ireland need to be allowed to compete whilst here, but there needs to be some clear rules in place to ensure clubs aren't just drafting in ringers.

And yes I just signed up, which may be tricky to fathom for someone with 14k posts. Might wanna get out more...

The intermediate results merely triggered the post. As stated in my first post, the club in question has plenty of form in this regard, at everything up to Inter Clubs level.

Them lads will be representing Dublin in the National Inters, and they'll probably win it. But I'm sure they've always dreamed of representing Dublin

An average of around 4.5 posts a day. 60 seconds allowed between posts. Less than 10 minutes a day on boards. Some people read the paper with their breakfast, some people go onlilne to troll for 4.5 posts a day...

Cheers for the video's emerald. Was a great day for it and great to see good numbers out for support. In terms of the lads from abroad running for certain clubs, it doesn't really bother me, they were better on the day. That's how it should be looked at, the better runner won. And that's coming from an individual who just missed out on a individual medal on the day.
