How much are dealers charging for the various spec runout models?
Would it be a good buy to keep long term?

You'd really need to ask them yourself.

The cars themselves are good, but all cars of that class will suffer heavy depreciation.

    Bargain hard.

How does a loss of 5k in year one, 4k in year two and 3.2k in year 3 sound? As Henry says they all loose that. The old model obviously more.

Not interested for myself, more curious. Heard recently that dealers were selling the old model at bargain prices.
So anyone looking to buy brand new car in that segment, and not worried about having new model might benifit from a good deal.

Savvy buyers will buy a runout, sure it'll suffer more depreciation, but the majority of known issues will be resolved by that point, whereas first off the line new models will come with all sorts of guinea pig problems.

New Mondeo has been on sale in the US as the Fusion for 2 years now so most things should in theory be ironed out by the time it gets here.
