08 Renault Traffic engine help

    Hi everyone I'm looking for a 2008 2 litre Renault Traffic engine. The engine code MR9 E 780. It's a dci 115 van.

    Does anyone know where there would be one. I have rang around all day and no one has one :-(

    Does anyone know if the Laguna engine will fit into the Renault traffic van? I have been reading on google that lads reckon it will??!!

    The old 1,9 diesel engine and gearbox were the same in laguna and trafic ( pre 07 ) . Not sure about 2.0 16v in traffic but think most of lagunas are less than 2.0litre now...
    Scrap dealer would know though..
    Have you tried donedeal ?

    Ya I have scoured donedeal since Saturday and no luck there either. Found two crowds today who have engines. €2500 for a second hand one us labour to fit it and €3200 including fitting for another one :-(

    The van was left under a gutter and water for around the injectors. A crowd of cowboys had it to fix and they failed to get the injectors out. Long story short it was left in the garages yard for 18months and they left it out in the rain and never covered it up and the engine is full if water and heap of rust around the injectors now as well as half of the front of the van stripped from all the messing they did

    Should cut your losses, and buy a cheap replacement and get what you can to scrap the Traffic
