Scum is the only word , which is why i have a top quality alarm and kill switches in my DC2 ,
( and cctv at my house). But in this day and age no amount of security can put your mind at ease.

Update : The buyer asked to meet at his house in adamstown. He got there two guys were standing outside a house in a cul due sac. They looked round it for a bit and the lad asked could he just turn it round then drove off in it. The other lad ran and jumped into a waiting Jeep. Wine ssanyong rexton with fake regs.

+1 P. To be fair to this guy he had security sorted. I've known soooo many who didn't and while I have sympathy if they lose their car part of me thinks "ehh WTF???". In this case the only thing might have worked would be an anti hijack, but even then you'd have disabled it for a test drive. Being an odd and paranoid weirdo and having a DC2* I've long toyed with the idea of a remote shutdown facility unconnected to the main alarm. Tried one of the Chinese sim card yokes but it was crap beyond measure. The GSM aerial gave the game away too and the GPS simply didn't work. TBH with my feelings towards car thieving scum my ideal setup would lock the doors, floor the throttle and fill the car with blinding smoke. Hopefully giving the state pathologist's brain a real workout when they finally found the twisted wreckage and meat within.

FWIW though I'm limited in my travels these days I'll keep an eye out. I always notice a DC2, especially if its a UKDM.

*not a good choice. Sometimes I'm adding valium to me as well as adding petrol to the car. :)

Very little you can do to combat that kinda theft, especially if you want to sell the car.

I'll keep my eyes open for it but chances are its already in the process of being broken or wrecked unfortunately.

Surely the first thing you can do to combat it is not give the keys to the driver until you are sitting in the passenger seat, preferably with a mate of yours sitting in the back seat?

yeah heard it was found with no damage :D

Now to catch the scumbags that were behind it .

Would make you think would it be worth buying a tracker off ebay :pac:
