Why does this board in particular always seem to attract the nutjobs?

edit: horrible incident. Hope injuries are kept to an absolute minimum.

Why would anyone deliberately travel to the scene of a crash?
    In a different country??
    There's rubbernecking
    And then there's this
Given the pics I've seen the likelihood of fatalities is high (either in the heli or on the ground or most likely both)
It's like travelling to a funeral of someone you don't know to spot the talent

    OP needs to grow up

**sending best wishes and thoughts & prayers to all involved in Scotland
    :(

Don't think I have ever agreed more with a post on Boards.

Morbid at best. At worst I honestly don't know.

Seriously??? You are going to travel HUNDREDS of miles to look at the scene of a crash where people have died and many more are injured? That's not only a sick thing to do but wrong on so many levels. Thankfully the whole scene has been cordoned off and idiots looking for pictures or souvenirs wont get within a mile of the place.

I am an AVIATION JOURNALIST I report on these scenes, Ive done it in the past and I will do it again .

As always Im the first to bring to attention these crashes , especially when it concerns Police or military aircraft .

Sometime you have to travel far, sometimes you dont, luck of the draw in this game .

It might have been better to mention that earlier. Otherwise you just come across as a weirdo taking pleasure in others suffering.

Given the tone/content/direction of your previous previous postings I seriously doubt that.

You're either a pathetic troll or an equally pathetic Walt. Either way you need professional help.

Your incoherent ramblings were faintly amusing up until now.

    Ignore.

Aviation journalist... Erm, ok... Think that might be stretching the truth a bit, your some dude with a camera who takes pictures of crashes and sells the, freelance. And a callous one at that. Or a troll, either way... You sound like a complete knob jockey.

If this is your job and you really are an aviation journalist then you wont mind linking us to some of your professional work? Maybe link us to a couple of articles that you have written and show a few of these professional pictures you have taken?

All info we seem to have is 3 feared dead which I would have thought would have been the pilot and two police passengers.

He's just a troll, duplicate account of Davehopper, I have banned him now. Nothing to see here, etc, or feel free to gawk at his profile and take photos of it, or better still, tell everyone you will - but really you won't..

So within 10 hours you made your way from salthill, got a flight to Glasgow and now waiting outside the pub? Believable

Sky news saying 6 dead and 32 injured, witnesses say it just plunged out of the sky, sounds like massive engine failure.

EDIT: I see Davy has been confirmed as a bit of a troll. In which case this post can be disregarded.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 35,524 ✭✭✭✭Gordon

Yeah, bbc says 3 dead (at least), hope bbc is correct as opposed to sky :(

Witnesses talk of a loud bang which one guy remarked as sounding like an engine blowout and then a pause and then the heli crashed into the pub. One guy said the crash came a minute after the engine blew out, which means that either it was quite high up, his timeframe is out, or it took a while for the engine to fail fully. A guy that saw it said that the rotors were practically still when it hit the pub, and the heli was in a slightly rotating, and odd angle, if I recall correctly.

This will be remembered as the day a troll jumped the shark, and tried to troll using the tragic deaths of others as a vault.

WHat a horrible excuse for a human.

Thanks to Gordon for blowing him out of the water. Or air. Or whatever.

Ive closed this thread now. If anyone wishes to open a genuine thread for what seems like a huge tragedy, please do so with the due respect it deserves.
