Plasterboard wall, incorrect plug fixing and it probably got a bit of a pull from someone.

No big deal. Just open it up and screw it to the wall again.

Ye thanks. Going to try it in the morning. It is a solid wall though the fixing screws were only an inch long. No one has touched it since it was installed 6 years ago.

Some of the cables look like they have pulled out but alarm is still working.

Good God, 1 inch screws and to think there is probably a 7amp battery within.
OP please do not think we all work to that low/ non existant standard.

Be careful, if its a monitored system there is usually an anti-tamper sensor in the box which can trigger an alert in the monitoring station.

No big deal , if it is monitored ring the station first & ask them to put it on test.
They would be ringing the site first on a tamper activation anyway.

Switch off the mains before touching that ! The mains cable may be loose .
What company put this in ?

Please do not name any company on thread in relation to this.

Have to agree with Evolution1, make sure you turn off the mains before attempting any repair or touching the metal housing.
