Anyone know if renault scenic has third row of seats?

    looking at a car on the net. However does the 2005 model have holes in the floor at the back to allow 1 or 2 extra seats to be put there?

    A scenic is 5 seats and the grand scenic has 7. The 3rd row dont bolt in, they fold up from under the boot mat and arent removeable.

    Grand Scenic is the 7 seater.

    the guy selling, when I inquired, swore to me on the phone that there were holes in the back for extra seats. Just a chancer then.

    Renault scenics from that time don't have a good reputation. You will find that online and I know two folks that had dash board issues and as issues their mileage is not accurate.

    If you buy a black, '07 Grand Scenic please check 2 things.

    If it has a Pink Floyd CD in the player, because I'd really like that back.

    If the ARB is cracked up front - because the dealer didn't when he gave us six grand for it.


    Otherwise they're an alright car. Not sure what caused the roll-bar to give up - maybe me being a little enthusiastic over a ramp - But you wouldn't put your enemy in the third row of seats. They're definitely not a nice place to sit unless you're a child or landmine victim. And they eat up all the bootspace when they're unfolded.

    6-speed gearbox was wonderfully sweet. And I liked the clutch-feel. A little heavy for some people's tastes but I thought it had good feel. And I got my driving license in it.
