I saw that young man on the news, and somehow it looked wrong, the way it's being handled.

Maybe we haven't the structures in place to do it differently, but it just seemed to be way off.

He's on about Kerry. Go straight through the red cow and head west. Last stop before New York, you can't miss it.

Is it the man in Kerry who's been charged with murdering his mother?

Seems very sad, he is obviously severely autistic. How will that work then? Is he culpable for the murder considering his condition?

I'd have to say no but it will depends on many factors. How bad is his autism? Medication? It's horrible and going to be very difficult for all involved.

Edit: just seen the son. You're right it does look like it going to be handled badly.

    Yes sad to see.

I suppose his identity is fair game to be revealed as they can't determine if a person is criminally insane prior to them being charged with the crime and it being medically declared.

On a side note I noticed lots of wind turbines in the hills surrounding the house, lots of evidence online of wind turbines causing children with autism distress, probably won't get the light of day as a possibly contributing factor to his actions.

Yes, the best type of evidence there is.

Well in fairness autistic people are much more sensitive to noise.

Horribly I'd say, if he's severely autistic and he's put in there it could really be so difficult for him to cope etc I reckon.

would never have happened thirty years ago as the poor young man would have been in an institution

the liberals who lobbied for the closing down of traditional mental institutions have a lot to answer for when tragedies like this occur

Well thank god times have moved on... manys a person suffering with no illness lived their lives in these institutions because of ignoramuses like you, autistic people generally aren't dangerous.

Institutions, many of which were guilty of serial abuse and rape of the people they were supposed to protect.

Institutions that precluded people from ever living something resembling a normal life.

    Terrible shame indeed.

in some cases yes but they threw out the baby with the bathwater , incidences like the one in Kerry occur around once a year or so due to the overly liberal system we presently have where its nion impossible to get someone committed

surely you don't believe some people should not be incarecerated due to the threat they pose ?

Since the case is before the courts, we can't discuss it on here until it's over.
