fiat tractor gearbox

    i have a fiat 880 dt 5 tractor and the gearbox is gone in it , is there a man done near kilkenny or in wexford called mike garrity that reconditions gearboxs as i need to get one for it

    Mike Garahy is near Birr in Offaly and not Kilkenny or Wexford.

    Specialises in Fiats and New Hollands. Perhaps this is who you are thinking of?

    Was there oil in the gearbox? It is separate oil from the back end reservoir. Lad near here had box in a 110-90 rebuilt after it failed, only for the same to happen within days. Only when the gearbox oil level filler bung was pointed out, did the penny drop.

    Also perhaps worth calling W R Shaw, from Rosenalis, in Laois. He sold hundreds of them.

    i ll give them all a try next week its a great tractor does all the diet feeding agitating and topping here and a week drawing silage , 3 drums of diesel fills her and the amout of work you get out of it is amazing
