Just ordered stopcock cosy. Guy in work said it will be useless after water meter fitted so wondering if i should cancel order. Anyone know? Current stopcock is the traditional 4" one

New boxes have frost protection in them. When you lift up the lid there will be a styrofoam plug covering the valve and the meter with Frost Protection written on it. Depending on where you live it could be 6 months before they get to you, plenty of time for it to freeze between now and then!!

Its the pipe under the path that freezes most of the time.
