    Hi,

I have a problem with one of my upstairs toilets. I amm not sure if its due to a blockage somewhere in the piping system or another problem. Basically I used the toilet the other day and it got blocked. I had to plunge it a few time sto undo the blocking and the toilet could eventually flush. The problem now is that it does not flush fully i.e when I fulsh it their is not a full flush like the other toilets in the house and the tank is slow to fill i.e water only trickles from the valves unlike the toilets where the water flows out and fills the tank for a full and proper flush. The handle is also not as much as an effort to push down also possibly becasue the tank is not filled with water the same way. I lifted ooff the lid and everything seems in order in terms of the float ball and the chain is attched etc. Could it be a blockage somewhere that is causing the problem or something more serious in that I will have to call out a plumber which obviously I wish to avoid due to the call out charge etc. I am not good at house maintenance work so just may have to do this.

Turned out that the Siphon needs replacing which the plumber is to order in. Said it will cost 50 euro including parts and labour. Is this the total cost or when he said including parts and labour is this extra does anyone know? I didn't ask him I just said okay sure if it has to be done

"Including parts and Labour " to me means everything included.

Not at all, unless your plumber has a very poor grasp of English:D
Including in this instance means the he will supply and fit the part for the price given:)
