anyone know what sort of money one would need to buy cross ewes between 2yr and 4yr that are scanned at 1.5.

Looking at between 150 euro and whatever figure the seller dreamed up after looking at Done Deal.

Very much depends on quality, what cross breed they are and what they are in lamb to but would agree with Iver.....anything from 140 to 170.

Depends on the time of Year & weather too.
My Father bought good ewes last year for the Ram in October at €80, a Neightbour bought similar Ewes in December to Lamb for January at the same price.
It can be hard to know.

Although there are 30 nice looking Cheviot ewes on DD at the moment in Donegal, at €125. Depends which end of Donegal of course! Its a long haul up to Carndonagh..........
