do you mean to check is it timed up 100% i think gates timing belts have a good website to show u all the marks for your car
but you may need timing tools to know for sure
why do you think there's something up or wrong?

hi taracaso

i'am having an ongoing issue with the car destroying a cat every year . It was just something that the fitter mentioned to me, that when he replaced the cat it appeared to heat up quicker than he would have expected .

During our chat he wondered if the timing has allowing the exhaust side to remain open for longer ????.

sounds to me like its over fueling is it hard on fuel? and have you had the fault codes read lately
they will only point you in the right path, fuel trims, o2 sensor,ect
