Ive been holding off buying a new tablet for ages because 7" is too small in my opinion. I cant seem to find any decent quad core large tablets though, there are millions of phones out there at the prices and spec I want but nobody seems to have put them in a reasonably priced 8-10" tablet these days.

Not interested in brands or anything, generic chinese is plenty good enough for me as per the Android phones thread as long as the screen and spec (and battery) is okay, anyone seen any bargains lately?

Nook HD+ will come in under budget but maybe not with all the specs you want...

Have you looked at Lenovo Yoga? Although a Chinese brand, it's not a cheap Chinese brand. I find their hardware to be of pretty good quality actually.

The one above is a 3g version but is a little bit over budget, if you'd be happy with Wifi only then you can get one within your budget.

It has all the bits that you're looking for, Quad Core, Very good battery and a very cool design. The reviews I've read about it seem to suggest that it's an excellent tablet.

Yeah and there was one in the Amazon flash sales yesterday and I forgot about it, should have grabbed it, great looking device.

I think they only knocked 10% off it in the end so I wasn't too gutted, I think I will keep an eye out for them from now on though.

That's not too bad. Still about 20 euro off the total price.

I'm actually looking to pick one up for missus as a Christmas present. Even at the current price it seems to be a bit of a bargain (Especially 3g version - there's only £20 difference between Wifi only and a 3g one). I haven't seen any decent (never mind good) 3g tablets in that price range.

I really want one myself now actually, cant decide between 8" and 10", Ill probably go 8" as I read all my books in Aldiko reader these days and the 8" is supposed to be really comfortable.

I find 10" tablets to be too big for some reason. They are definitely not as comfortable as 8" tablets to hold in your hand. I have an iPad mini and I find it to be the perfect size for a tablet.
