    Hiya,

I was often wondering if people spent money on doing puppy classes or general dog training. because if i look around, most of the dogs simply dont listen and the owner seem to not care...sure it will be graaaaand.

so is there any dog owners like me who are really dedicated to their dog and actually wouldn't mind to spent money if it comes to dog training?
especially if the dog might have a social/behavioral problem?

    How much would you spend?
ive done a few courses before and as long as it was not more than 100, i found it was very fair (obedience, nothing major).
would people prefer to spent money on an hourly rate as in: it takes that long to help your dog, therefore i charge you?

wondering how it works out for people these days...

no i was just wondering in general :)
im just amazed by the fact that most of the dog owners i come across, simply dont really care because they dont want to spend any money at all.
maybe its just cork or not, i know its christmas time too but in general i find it hard to find dedicated dog owners.
is it just me? or do i just know the wrong people haha

The thing is you don't really need to spend money to train your dog to a "acceptable" level in general; you need knowledge and consistency (first available here and on the internetz and the second is what's usually lacking). Most people simply can't be bothered to actually put in some work and you end up with the dogs you see.

+ one on what Nody said...

lots of dog owners couldnt really be bothered with training their dogs or socialising for that matter too.... as a result we end up with lots of poorly trainied dogs and frustrated dog owners..

The moral of the story is you only get back from a dog the time and energy you invest...

Ive spent alot of time (and money) training my guy and socialising over the years and he is the most lovelable little rogue ever... (well I am biased of course) .... he behaves 95% of the time the other 5% he's just trying his luck... as most cockers will do

its all about training, consistency and patience all this can be achieved without spending of money on trainiers... but time must be invested in the dog

    ;)
