cheap texts & calls from ireland to uk

    HI my dad is in ireland using O2 at the moment and the texts and calls are pretty expensive.Is there anyway he could text or call the uk cheaper i know about web texts but hes no good at using anything online he will get confused.

    I see an old thread on this forum saying if i send him a uk 3 sim with uk top up vouchers he would get charged 10p per texts and 10p per min.Not sure if it will still work.
