Advice -- Deadbolt Lock

    Hi All,

Looking for some advice, our hall door (Pics Attached) has something i never seen before, instead of closing "flush" against the door frame, it hangs over the edge of it, making it difficult to attach a deadbolt as the frame of the door is lower in dept than the door is (if that makes sense)

Anyone seen encountered this before, or have any advice as to what i can do?

    Cheers!

If I follow you correctly the rebate on the door frame is less than the door thickness.
Why not just get a Hardwood Slip to glue and screw to the Frame and then fit your deadbolt.
I would make sure to use a boxed receiver plate as opposed to the flush face receiver plate for added strength and security.
