Micro SD card in a Galaxy Express

    HI all,

Forgive me if this has been discussed before.
I have a Galaxy Express, (about 6 months old) and recently installed a Micro SD card into it. The main reason being that I need space, so I thought that I could move some apps onto the sd card.
Whilst the phone is telling me that it's seeing the card, I cannot move anything onto it.
I have since discovered that I may need to partition the sd card - is this correct?
If I have to partition the card, do I need to root the phone?
Can I partition a card without rooting a phone?

That leads to a whole lot more questions.

I have rooted an SGS1 before, so I assume that the procedure is pretty much the same.
Has anybody rooted an SG Express before?
Is there much of an advantage in rooting an Express?

Apologies for all the questions, am just a little bit frustrated at the moment.

    Many thanks in advance.
