Have never bought on Amazon but like value for Black Friday ....am in south,heard vaguely there is a way of putting down a hotel/ motel address in North so you can get items delivered that are only available to UK customers....Amazon veterans,how does this work?... when setting up Amazon account today do I put in my southern address or this northern address and what is it....heard it was some generic one the couriers all know?

Ok for most things just use your normal address. If you order goods directly from Amazon not a marketplace trader then normally if the goods are over 25 pounds they qualify for free super saver delivery i.e. free delivery to your normal address. You need to be careful during checkout and make sure you select this option. Even the delivery charges if you have not option but pay are normally not that bad anyway.

Some stuff can only be delivered by amazon to a UK address and for this you need to set up a parcel motel account but I have never needed this since the option became available.

I've been buying from Amazon for more than 10 years at least (maybe 15 can't remember)

yep as previous user says, spend over £25 sterling and delivery is free to ireland if you change at checkout to the super saver option.

Parcel motel is great if you buy something from a uk site or ebay.co.uk and delivery for the item is free in the uk, but over 3.50 euro to ireland. parcel motel charge 3.50 for a delivery so you can save a fortune on items that are free delivery in uk or have ridiculous delivery prices to ireland.
