Simple enough checklist – Pick a resort and work from there, or pick and airport for and work out.

Airport with accessible public transport or transfer options (Sometimes provided by hotel booked, especially in Austria), of if you are happy to drive car rental options.

There is a sale on with Aerlingus right now some good deals, try Ebookers they do decent deals with Swiss and Lufthansa form time to time.

Geneva, Muncih (Memmingen), Innsbruck, Zurich, Salzburg (Some TO do flight only)

How many days? If you are doing 7 apartments might be a good option? Hotels for anything less are probably your only option that week. Some hotels will do package deals and throw in lift passes and transfers.

Over New year you should be all right for most resorts for snow sure but if you want to be sure, resorts with skiing in the 1,110 M – 3,800M range should be what you are looking at.

Once you have a resort sorted check the Tourist office website for ski hire etc or ask here there are people who have been in a lot of resorts and might recommend somewhere.

Austria; Mayrhofen, Sallbach, Ski welt (Munich, Salzburg Innsbruck) St Anton/Lech/Zurs (Zurich)

France: Tignes, Les Deux Alps, Chatel, Chamonix, Flaine (Geneva)

    Switzerland; Engelberg, Andermatt, Laax (Zurich)
