Waiting for fuel allowance payment, does it take this long?

Hello,

I've applied in mid September for FA. When I was down the last, about a week ago, I was told the claim was still with the person who confirms it.

It began being paid on the 7th of Oct, is it normal to be waiting this long? I was told it will be back paid, will it? I'm wondering if I'll get it at all and I'm sort of waiting to get the letter saying I'm not eligible.

Just wondering if any other new applicants are waiting on it.

Yes it'll definately be backdated. The reason it is taking longer is that applicants who received it last year get it automatically but it has to be manually paid on the system and there can be a backlog. Dont worry
