    Hi guys,

I am trying trace a modified Triumph Spitfire that raced in the Pheonix Park in late 60s and early 70s. It was driven and owned by Mr. Brian O'Toole and had large bubble arch bodywork. If anyone happens to know about the car or have a photo or knows about Brian I would really love to hear about it

He also briefly raced a Triumph Herald convertable before the Spitfire. Unfortunately, Brian is no longer with us but maybe, with your help, we can get some information on his exploits.

    All and any help appreciated.:)

Are you on facebook? If you are, look up Leo Nulty on it and send him a message. He might not have the info you are looking for but you can be assured he will know who will be able to help you.

If you are not on facebook, just give Modello Park a call and ask for Leo, he is a really helpful guy and is car/racing crazy so should be more than willing to help.

Hi guys, thanks for the nice intro! :)
That, unfortunately is well before even my time- but I will see what I can do. Any pictures of the Spitfire?
Also, did he just race in the Phoenix Park or would he have races at Mondello, Dunboyne or Kirkistown?

thanks guys for the help. There are no photos of Spitfire yet, but living in hope. This is the start of my search so you never know. He did a few races between Mondello and the park, not sure about Dunboyne or Kirkistown although not ruling these out either.

    thanks,

Sure I am an oul lad! :)
I had a quick scan through some 1960s programmes today- Phoenix Park, Dunboyne and 1968 Mondello- no sign of him- in fact only one Spitfire amongst the hoards of Sprites and Midgets. I will keep looking though....
