    Hi All,

Am looking for help please ?

    My 6year old son has a 3ds.

We have eircom wireless in the house.
When I bought the DS I enabled parental controls and put a pass word in wireless option on DS.

At weekend a cousin told him that he could update players and squads on FIFA 13 using wireless.

I've tired turning on wireless to update FIFA 13 but I keep getting an error msg saying there is an issue with the access point!

So can anyone help me please?

I seem to be missing a step to activate wireless to DS but u can't see what I've not done.

    Thanks for any help :)

I think I'm sorted. The miracle of instructions :)

Now for a really stupid question , .

If wireless is in use DS be used to search net in any way? Or does it just upgrade games and allow to play with other people?

Is there a chat function too?

Yes there is a browser for the internet.

There is no chat function presently, but there can be in some games with friends you have added or meet during online play.

Thanks for that, So if there is a browser, hypothetically, someone could type in 'boobies' for example and see them ?

Ok then the wireless will be staying password protected for a long time yet:)

I don't think I'll ever understand the allure of gaming or online play!

You can set up Parental Controls on the device to block internet browsing, messaging features, and also age restricted games from being played. :)

Thanks, Yeah have that done. It's amazing how quick other kids are to point out what is restricted on his.
My son tells me that another 6year old in his class plays grand theft auto. . That is mind boggling to me

Oh well plenty of fun times ahead i reckon
