I seen rte breaking up earlier today on the sky platform. What are you receiving your rte via sat or via saorview? If its saorview have you re tuned your tv or Saorview box to the new frequency???

As you state your in Clare Id imagine your local transmitter is Maghera and the freq used there are CH48 AND Ch55.

The same day this was posted (Wednesday) I know of someone who lost RTE (channel mysteriously DELETED!) on a Saorview Walker WP645TS-HD combo receiver. Powering the box off and on again made no difference. The box had to be RESCANNED it to get it back !
The box had ages ago already (automatically) tuned in the new MUX (within 24hours of when it came on air) - that was NOT the issue.
    (The transmitter was Spur Hill)

so something unusual was going on with RTE TV on Wednesday?
