Aldi 24" Tv and DVD player combo,@ €169. Includes 3year warranty. Any opinions? It's a brand name that I haven't seen before. Is it a good buy?

Was gonna post this, decent enough tv and not too expensive, the 3 yr warranty is a bonus.

For a screen that size you needn't worry about 720p or 1080p,the picture will look fine.

Wouldn't worry about it too much with that warranty. Looks a decent bedroom option at that price.

Brand is called Cello. UK made. Not premium by any means but a very good price with a great warranty. I'm going in for one.

Edit: I see the Altius model linked above. I'm there in the morning and will let you know which one it is. Either way I'm taking it.

I'm after getting some nasty texts from family as I missed this deal. Meant to be an Xmas present for the Dad. No way I was ever going to be there queuing for an hour before the store even opened.

I was on the road to Bray Aldi at 8:20 and got stuck in a traffic for 30 mins in Greystones, typical. Eventually got to Bray at 9:20 and they were all gone.
Has anyone that missed out sussed an alternative online?

The wife heard they had 2 left in Portarlington Aldi and managed to grab the last pink one an hour ago.
I didnt think it worth while trying there yesterday with how fast they went elsewhere.
Just tried it out there and its a lovely little tv,perfect for my 8 year old daughters room, full 1080p which is nice.

Someone I work with bought one, he said the sound is terrible!!!

My advice was bring it back and get a better tv for the same money somewhere else.
