Hi all i have my Nikon D3100 about a year now it comes with standard 18-55mm
    lense.
I`m just looking for help on choosing the right lense to buy next have a keen interest in taking action pictures from my local GAA club on match days, also have keen interest in landscapes, wildlife and astronomy :)
To be honest i have a very limited understanding of lenses that would best suite me so open to any suggestions on what i need

    1. Zoom lense??
    2. Wide angle / Zoom??
    3 any other ideas??

Thanks in advance for any help :):)

id suggest buying from Amazon, or perhaps give John Gunn a call, they are usually quite competitive too.

I shoot all the Mayo match's and use a nikkor AFS 55-300 f4/5.6 vr. I find it a great lens, though it can be a bit too long sometimes for the local club match's on smaller pitch's. I bought it a few years ago off pixmania.ie for €320, about €130 cheaper than anywhere else. I see you can get it now for €269!

They are a small family run business and rely on conducting business face to face (or over the phone). Im fortunate I am walking distance to them.

Their site isnt geared up for ecommerce but i do know they have customers outside dublin and they courier products/supplies to them.

if you want me to ask them the price of smth just PM me. I walk past them every day.
