    came across this video of a man called john roche, left ireland in 1995, went to oz and then to nz, in the video he says irish dairy farmers are in danger of intesifying their farms using more bought in feed and still using grass. daiyco figures showed uk farmers grass based most profitable, followed by high input and high output, and down the list was a mixture of the two :confused: urges caution to people wanting to expand by purchasing feed on a small land block.

    in fairness he has a balanced view i guess, has a phd in cow nutrition.

    views are that there are now fewer share milkers in nz and now more eqitity partnerships or land purchase. financhial planning like any other business will be the most important tool going forward,
