Weird nose to mouth line

I've recently noticed that I have a really deep nose to mouth line on one side of my face only. Could this be connected to the mouth split I wear at night to stop me damaging my teeth from grinding, or from the grinding itself? I'm pretty upset about it, as I'm only 28 and take care of my skin. I have no other lines or wrinkles - the other side of my mouth is totally smooth.

Neither or both. Your best bet is to consult with a dermatologist, especially if you have pre-existing longstanding acne, as per recent post in Beauty section.

  • Will do. Why would it have anything to do with acne, though?

Just crushed that I didn't go for the hard mouthguard rather than soft. It was way, way more expensive and my dentist reassured me that it wouldn't make anything worse but apparently it may have. :( Why even mention a soft mouthguard to a patient if you know it won't help and could actually make things worse?
