Amp to go with a MIM '72 Deluxe Telecaster?

I just recently purchased my first "proper" Fender (MIM '72 Deluxe Telecaster) after years of cheap Epiphones and I'm looking to upgrade my amp (its a Marshall MG30DFX) as to be honest - its a piece of ****.

I'm wondering if anyone could give advice on the best amp to go for? I was looking at the Orange tiny terror but to be honest I find its tone a little cold for my liking, I'd be playing Blues and Rock (mix of intermediate lead and rhythm) so would like a warm tone but also something that would have a good classic rock overdrive sound - in and around the 400-500eur range. I love the tone of the Fender Hotrod but its a little (a lot) out of my price range.

I'm getting the pots changed out of the Tele in a couple of weeks but to be honest this will probably be the last big equipment purchase I make for a long while (House upgrades now take over) so I'd like to get something I can use for either practice at home/gigging irregularly/home recording.

    What say you?

I bought one of these Bugera v22 6 months ago and couldn't be happier with it. It seems to tick all the boxes. They are a bit cheaper than your budget but it also comes as a V55 and V55 head if you want a bit more power.

Thomann have a B Stock Vox AC15 C1 for €535 at present (just a smidgen outside your budget). Non B stock is €579

Cheers - I'll look into both - that Bugera looks a bargain in particular - would they be on sale in any shops here so I can test one out? I did a google and couldn't find any locations

I think I'm sold on it - do you think the tubes would be okay being shipped?

Mine was. Thoamann are great to buy from.

Ps. Check out the Haley Benton pedals while your at it. Great value also. Free shipping on orders over €200. So if you need anything small cables stands etc it's a good idea to get them all together.

This has a lot of information.

The early models had a few problems. They have improved reliability to point that they're as good as any other now. The different models can be recognised by the power light. The old less reliable one had a blue light. The new improved one have an orange one.

I did a lot of research before buying mine.

Okay cool - I'd be worried that the tubes would get damaged in transit and I haven't bought from Thomann before - got stuff from Musicstore and I wasn't impressed at all.

That topic is 3 threads long and it looks like its all good feedback too - I think we have a winnner, thanks for all the info mate!

Looks like a clone of the Peavey Classic 30.

I ended up going for a fender excelsior - got cold feet on the bugerra as i couldnt try it before i bought it - delighted with the excelsior, beautiful tone, especially moving from the amp that i had.Going to invest in an overdrive/distortion pedal to go with it as its fairly barebones but overall im delighted with it.

Best of luck with your new amp.

Just looked it up. I'd like to hear it. I'd say the 15" speaker gives a big sound.

Nice choice. There are so many nice amps out there these days -the market has changed totally in the last 5-10 years.

Any thoughts on your overdrive pedal?
