Failed the NCT on emissions, Lambda 1.07 but low CO and HC.
Would this be a leaking exhaust or what ?
I've a new backbox but i don't think its sealed right, still kind of noisy, or would it be something to do with the engine?
Car burns oil but shouldn't that give high CO emissions too ?

It's the back-box. The exhaust gas is being diluted by air drawn via a leak somewhere downstream of the oxygen sensor.

OK if i get that fixed and retested would the other reading CO and HC likely still pass as well ?

That thing is burning clean-as-a-whistle. It's just leaking somewhere from around the middle-box back.
