I had one on my mag a few years ago, def helps with noise reduction, and I think it cost about €60. My barrel was already threaded tho, so you might have an extra cost there.

I would'nt consider a 22 magnum particularly noisy, however a moderator will easily half the noise which is usefull for lamping. I like the "Wildcat" moderators myself as they are well made, light and come apart for cleaning. Personally, I have one for my .243 but don't tend to use it much as I find it upsets the balance for quick offhand shots.

I put a SAK on my 77/22 WMR and it was a waste of money. I sold it on.
The slight noise reduction wasn't worth it for the extra length.

Hear that a lot, the hmr is a lot louder in the first place thus more reduction.. the wmr is not much louder than a moderated hmr.

UK custom shop do the wildcat whisper in a .22 cal its expensive but I have one for my .17hmr and its the best moderator I have ever had! I had a SAK initially and no harm to them but they are not a patch on a wildcat.. Ardee Sports bring them in if you want to give them a call to price it.
