I am trying to find a PRO for a motor sports team. I cant ! so far anyhow.
looking for some one who has a interest in motor sports and might have a few weekends free through out the year and could come along to see what its all about. Its local events so best suited to some one in the Munster area.

Please don't give me a hard time for not wanting to pay €1000's to some company to do all the fancy advertising but if some one had an interest and appreciated that there was no real budget and that others of us give up our spare time and help with it , well it would be great to talk with some one who was interested.

if you were looking for a PRO for any club or team , what would you do ?

oh i do a few other jobs on it too ! belive me !! i have a good flair and know what i want, but I don't have a great use of language all the time.
I guess its an option i just have to accept but i said i give it one go on here and see if any one might be interested .
you know when you read a piece in the paper or on line and you say , wow thats well written , I get very nervous when I publish any thing i write on facebook page or even here !

Check some of the local ITs/Universitys for some Journalist type courses. They you may be able to find a student who would be willing to help out and use the experience for their course.

Check that they can spell. Seriously. The amount of motorsport press releases I've seen where basic spelling mistakes are rife would be hilarious were it not for the damage it's doing to promising careers.

Also, I have a pet theory that many press releases don't get picked up upon because they try to stick to an overwrought "epic quest" narrative; telling you the process that went into tyre pressure adjustments and mind numbing blow-by-bloody-blow. Remember that you're looking at giving some underpaid hack nuggets that he can easily copy and paste into whatever space his editor's given him to pass off as his own.

funny I thought keyboards included apostrophes these days ;-)

I'm sure they do, but I don't really do a whole lot of typing on mobile.... ;-)
