Anyone know if the new 2DS games will play on a DSI? Thanks

No, the 2DS is basically a 3DS without the 3D feature. The 2DS can only play 3DS or regular DS games. And the DSi can only play regular DS games.

    Nope.

2DS / 3DS games are the next generation, they won't work on older consoles as the outdated technology (we're talking decade old) isn't powerful enough to run them. :) Same as PS4 games not running on PS3, and so on.

US games won't work on an EU console (and vice versa).

You can pick up a native charger over here for a tenner.

    Ok thanks

So if i saved money on getting it in WALMART, i will need to purchase all games online from the states which means he'll be disappointed if he receives presents of games purchased here.

Wont take the risk just have to pay up in Smyths

    No problem.

If you don't mind ordering online, you will probably get a discount if you order from Amazon (compared to brick & mortar shops here).

Keep an eye on the price on amazon, they could have a deal on the 2DS on Black Friday (this Friday).
